· “Complete Book”, volume 2, Fortune palace section: “The Strategist means toil first and ease later; sharing the palace with the Great Gate means toil and little peace; sharing with the Heavenly Beam brings blessings; sharing with the Moon indicates cheerfulness; meeting the Ram Blade, Hindrance, Fire Star, Bell Star, Earth Void or Earth Robbery means rushing about, with no peace.”
The Fortune palace with Strategist: the old books say “toil first, leisure later”, meaning that at the start you labour in heart and mind, and only in middle age are you at ease; this is the most important line for this palace. The inner world is rich and changeable, you like to think through all kinds of ideas and philosophy and enjoy the pleasure of thinking, but find it very hard to truly quiet the mind; the old books say a person with this life pattern often worships the Buddha and suits a quiet environment for pure practice, so has a strong interest in religion or fate studies. Sharing the palace with Heavenly Beam you enjoy pure blessings, and sharing with the Moon you live happily; if the Ram Blade, Hindrance, Fire Star, Bell Star, Earth Void and Earth Robbery are added, you run about all your life and cannot settle down. So what this palace needs to cultivate is a single word, “steadiness”, meaning to let the mind settle.
