Martial in the Life palace – meaning in a Purple Star chart

· Martial is also a noble-person star — Martial also represents noble people; just as Emperor, Sun and Martial are all noble-person stars, a person with Martial in the Life palace is usually supported by noble people all life, and can themselves become a noble person for others.

· Martial transforms its energy into “Wealth” — signifies regular income, accumulation and money management, and is the strongest wealth star in the chart.

· Martial transforms its energy into Wealth — you should value real gain, look at results, and not favour empty fame.

· Martial's solitary harshness — not good at expressing feelings, which makes relationships cold.

· Martial is small of build with a high voice but great capacity — Complete Book of Zi Wei Dou Shu, volume 2, Life palace section: “Martial is firm in nature, decisive, upright in heart and not malicious, small of build with a high voice and great capacity, with unusual body hair”.

· Martial has a firm nature — tradition gives its five element as Metal, so the character is like metal: upright and hard (the organs are not matched by the star's five element; see the method for reading illness).

· Martial has a firm nature — tradition gives its five element as Metal, so the character is like metal: upright and hard (the organs are decided by the earthly branch of the palace that gathers the most malefic stars across the whole chart, not by the star's five element; see the method for reading illness).

· Martial is hot-tempered but quick to come and go — Martial people are like Sun in nature, very hot, but when they flare it passes at once, coming fast and going fast; this runs alongside and supplements “few words, hard as wood”: ordinarily they say little, but once they erupt it is intense and brief.
